An operation begun three years ago, aimed at a new public of travellers. An “inhabitable museum” precisely because it is organised to sleep in. And so it has been for these three years. Tourists from all over the world have flocked to the rooms, making it one of the capital’s most successful accommodations. Reported in the most important tourist guides, it has also won awards from portals such as Booking and Air B&B.

On Saturday 31 October, while theatres, cinemas and exhibitions all over the world close, the Museo Abitabile opens with an exceptional event. A 700 square metre courtyard will host the public well spaced out. In small groups, people will be able to enter and admire the collection and, why not, buy the works. The world of culture seems not to have considered the difficulties of visual artists. With this group of artists there will be an opportunity to get to know independent and effective dynamics that have done without public funding and that establish a generation of leading artists at an international level.

Art makes us fly far with imagination and poetry hence Learn To Fly as the title.

Now that there are no tourists, let’s fill up with works and turn the museum into a gallery. The artist does not stop. Art does not stand still. Supporting it means investing in the cultural renaissance that can once again become the driving force behind this country.
